COMMON QUESTIONS

Do I receive GRAT for contributing?

No. V20 removed the GRAT thank-you entirely. It violated the “Nothing From Nothing” principle — GRAT must trace to real work (compute contribution), not fiat. Supporters receive cosmetic perks only: Monthly Collection items, Founder badges, profile frames, chat flair, and more.

What’s the minimum contribution?

$1. That’s it. A $1 contributor in April gets the same Genesis Founder badge and full April Collection as a $10,000 contributor. No tiers. No scaling.

What is Val’s Monthly Collection?

Every month a new set of cosmetic rewards is announced. Any $1+ contribution during the window (current month + 7 days grace) unlocks ALL that month’s items permanently. Badges, frames, flair, themes, Val’s letter. Collect them all — they stack and never expire.

Will Valina always be free?

Yes. Forever. Contributions support development but the app is free for everyone starting January 2, 2027. Contributors just get it earlier.

Where does my money go?

Depends on your intent. “Build the Future” = 100% treasury. “Keep Val Running” = 80% treasury / 20% grove. “Fund a Wish” = 100% treasury (wishes funded from treasury). “Feed the Community” = 20% treasury / 80% grove. “Just Say Thanks” = 50% treasury / 50% grove.

Can I cancel recurring contributions?

Yes, cancel anytime with no penalty. Your Founder badge and all earned Collection items are permanent — they never expire even if you stop contributing.

How do I get early access?

After contributing, you’ll receive a unique early access code (VAL-XXXX-XXXX) via email. Enter it in the VCNA app to unlock access before public launch.
